Nauru

The aim of this report is to provide a stock take of the situations in the energy sector of Nauru and therefore inform a baseline which can be used in the development of the Nauru Energy Road Map (NERM). As such, this report containst: 

• General country context (geography, economy, population, etc.);  
• Energy sector landscape covering supply and demand and institutional arrangements;  
• Experience, potential and challenges in the use of renewable energy and energy efficiency; and, 
• Data needs for the energy road map and beyond. 

Sixth report of the Utility Regulatory Authority (URA) on electricity bills (electricity tariff) comparisons for the Pacfic  Island Countries and Territories.

Purpose: The aim of this paper is to provide a comparison of electricity prices paid by customers in Vanuatu with customers in different small Pacific island countries across region.

A guide to saving electricity at home, school and at work

This handbook is designed for teachers, educators, non government organisations and Government bodies in Nauru. It outlines the issue of energy conservation and provides practical activities to assist people reduce energy use at home, work and at school. Electricity bills are increasing for households, schools and businesses in Nauru so saving energy is a smart way to save money.

The 14 developing member countries (DMCs) of the Pacific Department of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) cover a wide diversity.

This report is an effort to capture what has been carried out under the ‘Implementation Plan of the Framework for Action on Energy Security in the Pacific 2011–2015’. It is an attempt to improve the accountability and transparency of the work of the implementation partners, in highlighting what has been carried out, what were their outputs and what impacts they made.
