Use of satellite remote sensing data for study of wave climate, 30 January - 17 February 1995, OCEANOR, Trondheim, Norway

Training at OCEANOR in Norway on the use of satellite remote sensing data for study of wave climate. This training attachment was part of extended NORAD assistance to SOPAC's Regional Wave Energy Assessment Program. The attachment was carried out from 30 January -17 February 1995. Under the program OCEANOR, an oceanographic company fromNorway, was hired to study the wave climate for the South Pacific. In Fiji the tidal potential of an inlet in Vanua Levu was investigated. Two water level recorders and a current meter were deployed and the data retrieved was analysed by the Fiji national under supervision at OCEANOR in Norway.
