Consultation Workshop on the Development of the Tonga National Renewable Energy Policy Framework : The first of the three consultation workshops on the development of the Tonga National Renewable Energy Policy Framework was carried out in Tongatapu from 29 April to 5 May 2005. The consultation workshop is part of the Pacific Islands Energy Policy and Strategic Action Planning Project (PIEPSAP) activity in Tonga.The consultation workshop was split into two components. The Tongan Government through the Secretary for Lands and Surveyor General in Ministry of Lands, Survey and Natural Resources requested PIEPSAP to provide assistance to Tonga in developing their National Renewable Energy Policy Framework.
