Cook Islands Outer Islands Renewable Energy Project. Power Sector Report Update: Rakahanga, Manihiki and Pukapuka

The purpose of this report is to review the status of the power sector in the Cook Island communities of Rakahanga, Manihiki and Pukapuka. This report is required to provide both a general update of the power sector for these locations and to inform the proposed development of community-scale photovoltaic power systems as described in the RAKAHANGA, MANIHIKI AND PUKAPUKA ISLANDS RENEWABLE ENERGY PROJECT. These Power Sectors Reports have been prepared to inform the development of Feasibility Reports and final design documentation for new power systems for each of the islands. It is noted that amongst the various design parameters for the development of the power systems, there are design parameters that are potentially in conflict with each other.  The report also contains information about the power systems, infrastructure and the overview of the outer island community of Cook Islands.

Report prepared by CAT Projects for REDD and Government of the Cook Islands.
