Wind energy and its potential in the Pacific Islands, March 2009

The major objectives of this paper is to provide information on the wind energy resource in the Pacific, wind turbines, design characteristics, site criteria, and socio-economic considerations and also to assist decision makers on the application of wind technology in the Pacific Region.
