Kelvin Passfield

Kelvin was the PCREEE Sustainable Energy Coordinator in the Cook Islands, a role aimed at strengthening PCREEE’s visibility and impacts on the ground in its member countries.

He has over 30 years of experience throughout the Asia Pacific, working in the Cook Islands, Tuvalu, Samoa, Fiji, Solomon Islands, Tokelau and Tonga, as well as a number of countries throughout Asia including the Maldives and Thailand. He has been a consultant for UNDP, GEF, IUCN, FAO and others. Kelvin is a key driver of the Te Ipukarea Society Incorporated, a not for profit environmental non-government organization based in Rarotonga, Cook Islands, implementing a number of environmental projects related to biodiversity, waste management, sustainable tourism and climate change.  He has been actively promoting renewable energy initiatives for the past 6 years, including electric vehicles and cycling.
