The promotion of renewable energy mini-grid markets, industries and innovation in Pacific Island Countries and Territories (PICTs) is a priority area of the newly created Pacific Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (PCREEE), based in Tonga. In partnership with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and financial support from the Korean Energy Agency (KEA), the centre has started to develop its renewable energy mini-grid program.
